First Flower Stamp of Bolivia

This stamp was issued by Bolivia in 1925. This stamp is an imperf of the actual stamp used for postage. Imperforated stamps are printed as a check just before the final printing of the stamp with perforation. Here, the imperf stamp is in a pair making it of a very high catalogue value.

This is a part of a set of 10 stamps, conmemorating the Centenary of the Bolivian Republic Foundation. This is the unique value showing a flower. This set was printed by Perkins Bacon & Co of London.

This is also the National Flower of Bolivia.
